Episode 03: Josh Weathers
On episode #3 of Stories with Soul, Jamey and Jimmy chat with Josh Weathers, a local musician and co-founder of the nonprofit, Love Like You Mean It. He shares the moment he realized he could really sing and what it was like to do both show choir and football in middle school.
It was Josh’s father who gave him the freedom he needed to leave school for music at 19. A performance for his mom of “I Will Always Love You” took off a few years later. But, as Josh tells it, hearing a voice on stage at the Larry Joe Taylor Fest led him to press pause on it all.
Josh explains how he and his wife Kady decided to start an orphanage in India during their adoption process, plus the incredible ways God provided land and the money to buy it. To date, Josh and Kady have raised and given away over $1,000,000 and the sound of Josh’s voice has been the source of so much of it.
