Sarah Ayala : Visual Artist

Sarah Ayala is a Fort Worth Native and visual artist who creates paintings, murals, sculptures, fake cakes, and so much more.

In college, Saray Ayala was on track to become a kindergarten teacher at TCU, but at some point, she began wondering why she wanted to teach. Sarah realized that her dream really was to make art. She had never done so before other than drawing doodles, yet she knew she needed to drop out of school and pursue a career in art. First, she took a break and then she became a cake decorator at a bakery while creating art in her free time. Eventually, Sarah dove into Eastern religion and spirituality and through this discovery began to find a love for mandalas, which led her to pinstriping. She started being hired for letters, signing, building designs, and morale makings. Because she didn’t have a background in art, Sarah fought feelings that she was a fraud, but she never let this hold her back and pressed on, always willing to attempt a new project.

From taking risks to sharing about her imposter syndrome, Sarah Ayala doesn’t step down from a challenge and creates out of the box art.
